South African software developer and outsourcing company PM Tech Holdings has announced plans to expand its network hardware division, CCC Systems.
Commenting on the expansion, Michael Leeuwen, director of PM Tech Holdings, says: "We have investigated the possibility of acquiring companies in the network and hardware market, but feel that we could bring more value to our customer base by acquiring expertise in these fields.
"Our staff complement at CCC Systems has grown substantially and we look forward to capitalising on the subsequent market experience."
He also adds that it is a logical expansion, due to the growing need for skills in the SA network hardware space.
The move will also enable PM Tech Holdings to more aggressively expand its business in the network hardware arena and will allow it to offer complete end-to-end solutions.
"In the past we focused on the software and consulting divisions of the business. These divisions have been established to the extent that we can now shift our focus to give CCC Systems a new outlook in a competitive market," he says.
CCC Systems will offer HP/Compaq and IBM server expertise as well as other key network hardware services.
PM Tech Holdings acquired CCC Systems in 1999 from listed organisation CCC Systems, which was established in 1990.
