PM Tech has launched a new financials software module for its locally designed Oracle database management package, PM Ora Professional.
"The Oracle management and monitoring module looks after Oracle Financials in a proactive way," says Mike Leeuwen, director of PM Tech.
"It adds ease-of-use and problem identification functionality for non-financials database administrators. And it allows them to undertake troubleshooting for a financials database as if it was simply another database," he says.
PM Tech supplies services, skills, hi-tech solutions and equipment. PM Ora Professional enables users to manage their Oracle database environment to maximise time for planning, development and expansion. The database can be managed and administered from any Web enabled client.
"Oracle`s financial management solutions provide the tools for the Internet economy and enable companies and government departments to capitalise on global opportunities, drive profitability, and build a smarter business," says Leeuwen.
"Our Oracle Financials module provides immediate analysis about operations so that companies can optimise decisions."
The Oracle Financials management and monitoring module is being added to the PM Ora base product. This module includes the following:

"The above functionality will extend the existing Oracle Financials functionality because users will be able to trace managers, requests and sessions back to the Oracle session, where better tuning and problem identification is possible," says Leeuwen.
PM Ora Professional comes with several modules containing key features for administering the database. Running on versioning technology, Ora Professional allows users to take defined snapshots of the database, save it and use it for comparison against another database at anytime.
