PM wrongdoings revealed
Vietnamese state auditors released a report on a stalled national computerisation project that revealed rampant and massive wrongdoings, including misspending, says Than Hnien News.
The project was aborted in April and several project management officials were arrested last month for alleged embezzlement and abuse of power.
Although the audit was carried out in just a few cities and provinces, "anywhere the auditors looked, there were wrongdoings," Le Hoang Quan, head of the second State Audit Unit, declared.
International PM Day approaches
International Project Management Day 2007 serves as an opportunity to recognise the contributions project managers make to the global workforce, according to iil.com.
Taking place on 1 November, the International Institute for Learning plans to support the third annual IPM Day by holding a Webcast, with influential panel speakers.
It will also host a special event in which to honour and thank project managers for the time and effort they give to their companies, communities and organisations, to achieve business goals.
ActionThis releases online system

The integration with Microsoft Outlook ensures information workers can manage action items alongside regular e-mail, minimising training and support costs.
