PMO of the year to be recognised

The Centre for Business Practices is accepting nominations for the 2007 Project Management Office (PMO) of the Year Award, according to Businesswire.

The annual award, now in its second year, recognises PMOs that demonstrate vision and acumen in implementing new ideas, methods and processes leading to measurable improvements in project management and tangible results for organisations.

There is no fee to enter the competition and all corporate and government PMOs are eligible for nomination. Nominations must be made by the director or manager of the PMO being nominated. Entry applications, judging criteria and information about the award are available at www.cbponline.com. The deadline for entries is 23 March.

Rhema Group lands De Lage Landen contract

The Netherlands-based global vendor leasing organisation De Lage Landen (DLL) has commissioned Rhema Group to provide formal project management coaching for 10 of its key project managers in Europe, as a follow-up to Rhema's recent successful delivery of project management training, according to Training Press Releases.

Delegates taking part in the training are encouraged to identify general and specific issues surrounding the projects they are running, and how to implement CORE, their chosen project management method.

The coaching also provides delegates with a practical opportunity to incorporate a wider range of project management best practice. The high-level objectives of DLL's coaching initiative are to produce capable people to run successful projects, implement project management tools and techniques, and build on the training investment.

Cadsoft partners with PrioriSoft

Cadsoft has signed a strategic relationship with PrioriSoft, to deliver a toolset offering design, presentation, production drafting, takeoff and complete estimating and project management, according to PRWeb.

Cadsoft Envisioneer 4.0 now includes the ability to integrate its project-estimate to the Priority One Plus solution.

Brad Finck, VP, business development, says Cadsoft's new integration partner PrioriSoft is strong in the remodelling industry, and the integration is a natural fit. Cadsoft is a developer of three-dimensional home improvement software for design-builders, contractors, remodellers and interior designers.
