PMW Technologies acquires Acadia HCS

Acadia Human Capital Solutions, a Columbia, South Carolina-based company focused on strategic human resources, has been acquired by private company PMW Technologies in conjunction with a $5 million round of venture capital financing, states TMCnet.

Acadia will relocate to Charleston, South Carolina, and is now managed by former Benefitfocus executives Nate DaPore, serving as president and CEO, and John Smith, serving as CTO.

The $5 million round institutional financing will be used to develop the company's technology into a comprehensive online solution named the Acadia platform and will expand Acadia's current offering into six core areas critical to developing and motivating a company's workforce.

i-Admin says companies will benefit from its comprehensive and cost-effective payroll solutions and also have access to a suite of eHR software-as-a-service work modules, which help automate routine HR processes such as leave management and claims reimbursements.

Recent trends show payroll outsourcing is becoming hot in China. Many businesses have already reaped rewards from outsourcing their payroll - greater efficiency, higher quality, reduced costs, upgrading their technology platform and enabling them to focus on their core competencies.
