Pocket-sized digital power from Annex, Fujitsu Siemens Computers

Annex Distribution, together with its international IT supplier partner, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, announces the availability of the Pocket LOOX T Series. This all-in-one PDA device combines GSM/UMTS/mobile phone with complete handheld functionality.

The practical Pocket LOOX T Series provides all the necessary features to keep mobile professionals connected to their business. The GSM/UMTS mobile phone supports polyphonic and MP3/WAV ringtones and enables VOIP via integrated WLAN and/or UMTS.

In addition, the device incorporates WiFi-certified WLAN 802.11 b/g as well as Bluetooth V2.0. The Pocket LOOX Software Suite includes Fujitsu Siemens Computers CONNECTMOBILITY - E2C for easy connection to the network (depending on model).

"Fujitsu Siemens Computers has taken mobile business management to a new level with the Pocket LOOX T Series. It allows the user access to the latest in mobile applications and also features a VGA camera for video telephony as well as a 2MP camera with auto focus for impressive quality pictures," explains Grant Tunbridge, Fujitsu Siemens Computers product manager at Annex Distribution.

These applications include Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition; New Office Mobile Suite incorporating Word, Excel and Power Point mobile and the highest expandability due to built-in SD-I/O MMC slot, for archiving business data, pictures or multimedia files.

In terms of navigation capability, this latest addition to Fujitsu Siemens Computers' stable of mobile product is based on SiRF star III GPS module for effective tracking and direction in a clear, compact and direct design.

"This is an exciting new edition to the local mobile market. The device has everything that a mobile worker needs. The user can interface with the product via a TFT display and qwerty keyboard, and take advantage of Microsoft's e-mail push solution. The small-form phone features built-in silent alert functionality and can support both polyphonic and MP3/WAV ringtones. The product also allows for VOIP via integrated WLAN and/or UMTS HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) that allows for higher download speeds," adds Tunbridge.

The qwerty keyboard also features five-way navigation key, three-way jog dial and two application buttons.

The new Pocket LOOX T Series is available with a broad range of accessories such as SD memory cards, battery, leather cases and more.
