Pointsec Mobile Technologies has for the third year in a row been placed in the "Leader" Quadrant in the Mobile Data Protection Magic Quadrant* study just released by industry research firm Gartner, says local reseller Blue Turtle Technologies.
Gartner`s Magic Quadrant for Mobile Data Protection Research is a qualitative evaluation of data protection vendors that specialise in providing centrally managed protection across a wide range of mobile platforms. Pointsec is according to the research once again in the "leader" quadrant with vendors that show the strongest balance in the ability to execute and for completeness of vision.

Gartner`s Magic Quadrant study of Mobile Data Protection evaluated 16 vendors according to two major classes of criteria - Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision.
Ability to Execute is determined by measuring the vendor`s capabilities in market awareness generation, sales channel effectiveness, system management and configuration, and growth in its installed base. Completeness of Vision, a long-range metric, includes analysis of the vendor`s ability to influence industry direction, the range of operating systems and platforms its products can protect, the breadth of its product suite, and the strength of available encryption algorithms.
