Pooosh cuts call costs

A new cellphone application, Pooosh, has come onto the South African cellular market claiming to lower cellphone bills.

Pooosh can be downloaded free from the and allows users to set up an account and purchase airtime at lower rates.

Don Tredoux, CEO of Pooosh Cellular, says: “With Pooosh, you'll find your monthly cellphone bill plummets.”

The user receives free and unlimited access to a Pooosh e-mail address, instant messaging and access to chat rooms. In addition, Pooosh also features voice chat and functionality.

According to Tredoux, Pooosh offers parental control. “Safety for our users is one of our top priorities and we empower parents with a parental control feature on chat rooms to supervise what their children have access to when using the application.”

Pooosh airtime is available at Shoprite and Checkers and it's expected to become available at Edgars, Jet and the rest of the stores within the Edcon group from this month.
