Official South African distributor, Rectron has announced the immediate availability of Canon`s Digital IXUS 30 and IXUS 40 digital cameras to local resellers.
These brother-sister cameras feature a three-times optical zoom as well as Canon`s DIGIC II processor technology. DIGIC, which is also featured in Canon`s EOS SLR range, allows for responsive shooting, image quality and instant playback.
The 4.0 Megapixel Digital IXUS 40 and 3.2 Megapixel Digital IXUS 30 can both be used for detailed prints all the way to A3 and A4 size respectively. They also incorporate two UA (Ultra-high Refractive Index Glass Moulded (GMo) Aspherical lens) elements.
"In addition to featuring the latest digital camera technology from Canon, the IXUSs are also sleek looking with their all-metal bodies weighing only 115 and 130 grams respectively," comments Zandr'e Rudolph, Canon product manager at Rectron.
The Print/Share button simplifies direct printing via USB cable to any PictBridge compatible photo printer while the ID Photo mode creates photo-booth style ID prints for passport and other ID purposes.
Both the IXUSs also feature a Movie Print mode, which prints an entire action sequence of up to 63 evenly spaced frames from any chosen movie clip.
