Imagine how a high-performance colour duplex scanner would improve productivity in the workplace, especially one that operates at the super-fast rate of 60ppm without compromising the quality of the end result. Introducing the PanasonicKV-S7065C Colour Duplex Scanner - a compact, flat-bed unit designed for optimum operating efficiency.
Brought to the local market by NPC Electronics Ltd - the exclusive importer and distributor of Panasonic products in South Africa - the KV-S7065C is part of the WORKiO workgroup office automation product portfolio.
The unit offers the connectivity options of SCSI-III (50 pin) and high-speed USB 2.0 interfaces and boasts a 200-page automatic document feeder, making it suitable for diverse applications - from distributed processing and workgroup processing to desktop scan stations and departmental processing stations.
Incorporating exceptional features and performance into an all-in-one versatile scanning solution, the KV-S7065C scans anything from a business card (90mm x 50mm) to an A3 sheet (297mm x 420mm) at ultra-fine 600dpi resolution. Packed with advanced Panasonic image enhancement technologies, the unit`s functional features include:
* Colour automatic cropping, where documents of various sizes can be scanned without needing to pre-set individual paper-size settings. This function also allows batch scanning of different-sized documents.
* Colour automatic de-skew, which automatically corrects the skew on documents incorrectly aligned prior to scanning. A smoothing function ensures that fonts are not pixelated.
* Automatic binary/colour distinction, which allows the scanner to recognise colour and black-and-white pages automatically. This intelligent feature, normally found only on larger, more costly scanners, reduces scan-to-file size while promoting greater scanning efficiency.
* Multi colour drop out, which automatically deletes red, blue or yellow on original documents either individually or in combination, on request, to achieve monochrome (black and white) scanning - ideal when colour ruled form paper or colour background paper is scanned for optical character recognition (OCR) purposes.
* Dynamic threshold, which detects the density of backgrounds tints and automatically adjusts the scan settings to allow easy reading of the scanned document.
* MultiStream, which allows colour and black-and-white scanning in a single scan. Flexible image usage is also available, such as black-and-white image for OCR or colour image for archiving and monitor check.
* Reliable Throughput Imaging Viewer (RTIV).
"The combination of the KV-S7065C`s flatbed scanning area, automatic document feeder and high speed duplex scanning face means that short work can be made of any scanning tasks," says Freddie Potgieter, Divisional Manager: Panasonic Office Automation, IT and Telecommunications Systems. "The unit also delivers high yield on its easy-to-replace consumables, making it a cost-effective option for almost any business environment."
