PQ Africa`s networking division, PQ Networks was recently recognised by VTEL as the number one reseller of its VTEL videoconferencing equipment in the Southern region. PQ Networks came first out of all its competitors in the Southern region, which forms part of the Europe Middle East and Africa region (EMEA), at the close of this fiscal year.
Marius Coetzee, general manager of video conferencing at PQ Networks comments: "PQ Networks` local value added resellers (VAR`s) have played a significant role in achieving these results and this positions South Africa`s sales team in a favourable light when compared to the sales performance of its international counterparts."
PQ Networks competed against international resellers from Italy and Saudi Arabia, who are both traditionally good performers. Additionally PQ Networks was the number two reseller partner for the entire EMEA region. Says Mario Guzzetti, regional business manager of VTEL EMEA: "This is quite an accomplishment for PQ Networks who faced stiff competition from the entire EMEA region, which includes Central and Northern Europe, the Southern Region and well established areas such as the UK itself."
PQ Networks is the sole distributor of VTEL`s videoconferencing range in South Africa. VTEL addresses the needs of both small business and large corporates. "Traditionally videoconferencing was perceived by large corporates as a high end technology tool. VTEL has broken these barriers with an interface and control unit that is as easy to use as a personal computer," adds Coetzee.
"We hope this achievement is repeated in forthcoming years and with the level of expertise and after-service care our VAR`s offer to our local client base, there is a strong chance it will be. Additionally, what is encouraging about the achievement is the positive reflection this has on Africa, proving that we are on the same footing as our international competitors," concludes Coetzee.
