South African Tourism (SAT) (

) has reaffirmed its partnership with Praxis Computing (Pty) Ltd (
http://www.praxis.co.za
) to provide managed network infrastructure services. At a top-level review meeting held in March 2004 between Cheryl Carolus, CEO of SAT, and Mish Middelmann, CEO of Praxis Computing, Ms Carolus said that "Praxis has successfully exceeded on its delivery of the Service Level Agreement with SAT."
Originally signed in March 2003, this 3-year deal is part of Praxis Computing`s approach to strategic sourcing that places the emphasis on strategic partnerships that are of benefit to both parties. The model employed is flexible and tailored to SAT`s specific needs. In addition, this agreement provides SAT with an output based delivery, which enables Praxis Computing to offer a better and more complete service at a fixed price.
Ms Carolus also added "SA Tourism values the skills development, empowerment and business value provided by Praxis. From a service delivery point of view, Praxis could be used as a role-model to other BEE IT companies"
"The role that Praxis Computing played in this highly successful partnership cannot be under-stated and special credit must be given to the Praxis Computing staff for their efforts in this regard. Praxis Computing supplied much more than technical expertise, and were able to supply detailed business requirements, as well as playing an important leadership role which greatly contributed to the success of this service delivery." said Mish Middelmann.
"The most prominent value realised in the first year of the three year contract has been the reliability and administration ease that Praxis has enabled. It is a pleasure to work with Praxis Computing who will continue to be a proud partner of choice to SAT" said Mr Al Karaki, SAT`s e-Business Manager who is the overall contract manager.
