Continuing its international expansion through partnerships in selected markets, PreWorX has appointed the newly renamed PreWorX System Management Solutions as its exclusive distributor in Germany.
"At the start of its growth drive into international markets, PreWorX decided not to go to market via the traditional channel, but to appoint dedicated distributors in each economic region it targeted," says Rhys Taylor, executive director of PreWorX. "This approach ensured a focused, driven company only concerned with PreWorX technologies."
Located at Neumunster, near Hamburg, PreWorX System Management Solutions introduced its principal`s technology to the German market at the Systems 2003 trade show in Munich in September this year. The company used the interest garnered at the expo to launch the new version of PreWorX Virtual Service Provider 2.0 (VSP) and PreWorX Healer.
"German companies rely heavily on technology, and, like most corporations the world over, are continually trying to reduce the total cost of ownership of their technical infrastructure," adds Taylor. "The PreWorX VSP solution reduces the costs of infrastructure management by automating the process and enabling remote experts to manage and support devices over the network or Internet. This cuts the delay between reporting a problem and resolution, and hence the unproductive time users waste while waiting for help."
"All our contacts at Systems 2003 reaffirmed that the competitive advantage of VSP lies in its unique preboot technology," says Jurgen Joost, COO of PreWorX System Management Solutions. "VSP simply outclasses its rivals by offering companies more options to reduce the costs and complexity of managing PCs, servers and notebooks via its preboot remote control over devices. In our view, this is definitely the future of technology maintenance in the enterprise."
The operational side of PreWorX System Management Solutions will be run by Joost, who brings with him more than 12 years of experience in the international enterprise system management market. He will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities as well as strategic planning.
Sales offices have already been established in Frankfurt and Dusseldorf, and the company expects to have seven more offices launched by year-end. "PreWorX System Management Solutions will be an aggressive, and, we believe, successful player in the German market," Joost promises.
Germany may be going through a tough economic period, but it remains the largest economy in Europe and its corporations have long touted the productivity and organisational benefits technology can deliver. Any business relying on IT to this degree will be able to reduce support costs and time substantially with VSP while ensuring its employees remain productive.
