Primus Solutions signs Nasa contract
Nasa has selected Primus Solutions to provide its enterprise IT services to the Goddard Space Flight Center under a five-year contract with a maximum value of $229 million, reports News Blaze.
The Primus team will develop, integrate, sustain, and manage the IT infrastructure and systems for Goddard in the areas of information systems management, business infrastructure and application development, system administration, and network design.
"We are honoured to have been selected by Nasa to develop and manage enterprise information technology systems at Goddard," says Rick Payne, president of Primus. "We look forward to working closely with Goddard to integrate and maintain the systems they need to accomplish their missions."
Siemens expands US enterprise base
Siemens Enterprise Communications is to announce a distribution agreement with one of North America's networking solution providers, Shared Technologies, reports ChannelWeb.
The five-year deal in which Shared will sell on a seat licence basis using Siemens' OpenScape platform, will provide Siemens with instant access to a massive enterprise customer base.
Tony Parella, CEO of Shared Technologies, says: "Entry into some of the largest enterprise customers of the US seems to be a soft spot for Siemens right now, and we bring an opportunity to them, too, that I'm not sure anyone else can."
SGT acquires Master Solutions
Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT) has acquired Colorado-based Master Solutions (MSL) to expand its network-centric and situational awareness market reach, reports iStockAnalyst.
The company says the defence market software and systems engineering firm MSL will become a subsidiary of SGT after the acquisition. MSL provides full life cycle software engineering, systems engineering, and enterprise architecture services and solutions for the Department of Defence and commercial markets.
Kam Ghaffarian, SGT CEO and president says: "The addition of MSL's defence and space-related skill sets to SGT's existing capabilities will create powerful synergies to benefit our Defence Department and civilian customers while providing exciting opportunities for our employees."
