Printacom, the brand representative for Oki colour laser, monochrome laser and dot matrix printers in SA, has announced further expansion to its channel, appointing The Printer Distribution Company (PDC) as a distributor of the vendor`s monochrome and colour laser units.
Printacom managing director, Neil Rom, says this decision was motivated by an increasing demand for laser printer technology in the corporate and SME sectors as well as the fact that Oki has engaged in a strong drive towards securing a larger share of these markets.
"We continuously explore and pursue new avenues that will potentially help us meet our objective of increasing our market share. A vital contributing factor for Printacom reaching this goal will be attainable through extending the Oki brand to a larger base of resellers," Rom says.
"That, along with the fact that PDC has been a loyal Oki supporter for some time now, spurred us on to appoint them as a distributor," Rom explains.
"PDC is an organisation that is totally focused on printers," says Rodney Bartman, PDC CEO. "From our perspective, we see the Oki mono and colour laser printers as a perfect addition to our product range, since they complement our existing portfolio we already have on offer.
