Tarsus Technologies has announced the availability of two new HP inkjet printers designed to provide the highest quality colour printing on a variety of media.
"HP leads the inkjet printer crowd because of the output quality its printers deliver as well as the quality of its hardware," says Drikus Van Der Walt, HP product manager at Tarsus. "The two new inkjets, the HP DeskJet 5150 and DeskJet 5652, continue this tradition with stunning colour as well as high quality black text printing."
The 5150 sports print speeds of up to 19 pages per minute (ppm) in laser-quality black and 14ppm in colour. It provides up to 1 200dpi rendered black text and up to 4 800 optimised dpi colour printing resolution. The USB connection makes child`s play of hooking the printer up to a PC.
Its input tray can handle 150 sheets of paper or 20 envelopes and its 8MB memory will prove sufficient even for demanding high-resolution pictures. "The 5150 also has a recommended monthly maximum volume of 3 000 pages, making it ideal for home or small business use," Van Der Walt adds.
One step up the ladder is the HP DeskJet 5652. This colour inkjet printer prints up to 21ppm in black and 15ppm colour. It also produces up to 1 200dpi in black and 4 800 optimised dpi in colour.
"This printer also connects via USB port and can carry 150 sheets or 20 envelopes in its input tray, but boasts a monthly duty cycle of 5 000 pages, making it suitable for small companies or business units with a reasonable printing workload that includes both black text and colour prints," notes Van Der Walt.
Both printers support HP`s PhotoRet technology, a process of layering multiple drops of ink in each dot to produce photo-realistic printouts.
Apart from the high-quality output, both printers offer the expected performance and reliability associated with the HP brand. The HP DeskJet 5150 and DeskJet 5652 are available from Tarsus now.
