With the 2005 Formula One motor racing season set to begin in Australia on 5 March, Duxbury Networking has announced a host of new prizes in its Internet-based F1 Competition, which enters its second year.
Prizes for competition entrants who predict the correct race results include MP3 players, digital cameras, modems and discount vouchers.
"The competition proved to be a tremendous success last year," says Duxbury marketing manager, Louise Taute. "We`ve added to the prize fund as more sponsors have come on board to back our initiative."
Graham Duxbury, for many years the co-presenter of Formula One events on SABC TV - and MD of Duxbury Networking - says the excitement surrounding the start of the 2005 season is unprecedented.
"There are new engine and tyre rules with which the teams have to come to terms. Will it all go Ferrari`s way this year? The likes of McLaren, Renault and Williams are going to be more competitive as the new rules have levelled the playing field. We`re in for a vintage year in F1," he says.
The prize list is:
* Netgear wireless digital music player
* Toyota Formula One merchandise
* HP Digital camera from HP ProCurve
* CADLOCK - Physical computer lock
* Sharp Golf clothing
* Duxbury External V.92 Modem
* Magazine subscription
* 10% discount vouchers for Digital Planet purchases
