ProClarity, a provider of analytic application technology, has ranked number 190 on the 2004 Deloitte Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America.

Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years, from 1998 to 2002. ProClarity grew 1 126% during this period.

ProClarity`s president and CEO, Bob Lokken, credits industry focus and innovation with the company`s revenue growth over the past five years.

Keith Jones, MD of Harvey Jones Systems, local distributor for ProClarity, says: "ProClarity is dedicated to providing organisations with a quicker, clearer understanding of complex business problems. To be recognised by the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for three consecutive years is a testament to its dedication to providing its customers with world-class analytic solutions."

Mark Evans, US national managing partner of Deloitte`s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group, says: "Attracting enough customers to maintain this growth over five years makes a strong statement about the quality of a company`s products and its leadership. ProClarity has shown the right stuff for growth."

Overall, companies that ranked on the 2003 Technology Fast 500 had growth rates ranging from 469%-296 080% over five years, with an average growth rate of 5 493%.

ProClarity was also recently included on the Software 500, Software Magazine`s list of the world`s foremost software and services providers. The ranking is based on total worldwide software and service revenue for 2003. This includes revenues from software licences, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting.

The Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte`s 20 regional North American Fast 50 programmes, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research.

To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 1998 operating revenues of at least $50 000 in the US and 75 000 Canadian dollars in Canada, respectively; and 2002 operating revenues must be at least $1 million. Deloitte researchers examined financial statements to validate operating revenues.

Entrants must also be public or private companies headquartered in North America and must be a "technology company", defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company`s operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies` technology in a unique way does not qualify.

Other recent accolades for the company include a nomination to the elite list of "Cool Vendors" in Gartner`s "Cool Vendors in , BAM and warehousing" report. Gartner defines a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are: innovative, enable users to do things they couldn`t do before; impactful, have, or will have, business impact (not just technology for the sake of technology); and intriguing, have caught Gartner`s interest or curiosity in approximately the past six months.

In addition, ProClarity was ranked number 34 on the DM Review 100, a list of the top BI vendors as determined by the readers of DM Review magazine. More than 225 vendors were examined and ranked by readers for their performance and usability within the working environment. ProClarity moved up five positions from last year`s ranking and was recognised for its leading analytic applications, business performance management capabilities and Web-based analytics.
