Professional presentation platforms from Panasonic

Johannesburg, 10 Mar 2005

Catering for the note-taking and information-sharing needs of seminars, meetings, brainstorming and training sessions, NPC (Electronics) Limited - the exclusive importer and distributor of Panasonic products in SA - has introduced a range of sophisticated, brushed-metal Panaboard electronic boards to the South African market.

Designed to enhance the productivity of presentations, seminars, training sessions and other meetings, the three-model range of Panaboards come with an integral plain-paper printer that`s capable of multiple copies. The new models introduced to the local market, all of which can be wall-mounted or used on floor-stands, are:

* Panaboard UB-5325: A two-screen standard-sized 900mm x 1 400mm board (copying area 850mm x 1330mm);
* Panaboard UB-5825: A two-screen wider board, measuring 900mm x 1 762mm, (copying area 850mm x 1692mm);
* Panaboard UB-7325: A four-screen standard-sized 900mm x 1 400mm board (copying area 850mm x 1 330mm), which can also be used as a projection surface.

All three models have USB1.1 or USB2.0 as the standard PC interface, which supports all current operating systems. This means that the Panaboard can be controlled from a PC, and can be used as a PC printer. It also maximises the functionality of the utility software provided with the Panaboard, notably Document Manager (which makes filing and distributing notes from the Panaboard quick and easy) and Document Viewer (for annotating images scanned from the Panaboard onto PC, complete with annotations).

A built-in TWAIN driver provides the capability to scan the notes on the Panaboard and transfer them as image data to the PC platform (and vice versa), from where the document can be attached to e-mail in JPG format. It also enables the Panaboard to be controlled from PC, using an on-screen version of the Panaboard control panel.

"These new-generation Panaboards feature an elegant finish that matches Panasonic`s projector range, ensuring them a niche in today`s upmarket boardroom environment," says Keith Stanton, Divisional Manager: Panasonic Telecommunications and Presentation Systems.

"Besides offering a neat and tidy medium for meeting notes, they also optimise the time spent in meetings: everyone in the meeting can devote 100% of their attention to the presenter, which simultaneously raises participation levels."
