Profiler service launched

PIC Solutions has launched Profiler, an exciting new usage-based analytical . Using domain experience of the European, Middle East and African credit markets and coupled with statistically based analytical models, accounts are individually profiled, based upon their credit .

By segmenting customers into eight unique profile groups, organisations can now easily implement profitable account management strategies, thus increasing revenue and reducing bad debt exposure and expenses.

Bayan Dekker, Director of PIC Solutions states, "Profiler models predict the likelihood that an existing account will become highly delinquent over a specified period of time. What makes Profiler unique is that on a monthly basis, accounts are grouped into profiles that are intuitive and manageable."

Sharief Allie, Consultant at PIC Solutions adds: "Profiles are monitored on a monthly basis and are automatically aligned, as required. This is to reflect the observed changes within a specific portfolio. It is normal that behaviour profiles will shift from the initial development due to external changes in the economy or the execution of customer management strategies. This provides the client with a unique, turnkey risk assessment solution."

As Profiler is dynamic, it can be applied to all aspects of portfolio management, such as marketing, credit limit assessment, authorisations, repricing and collections.

The Profiler service was successfully implemented at a leading financial services pilot client, in preparation for the busy December trading period. The pilot-client is using Profiler to make pre-approved financial services offers to the client`s most profitable customers. Profiler models ensure that only the best quality customers are selected for the pre-approved offers. As Profiler is dynamic and is calculated on a monthly basis, the customers that are eligible for specific financial services offers will vary from month to month, thus ensuring new opportunities for cross-sells and up-sells for the client.

After this successful pilot phase, the Profiler service has now been launched to the South African consumer credit industry and will be live with two other clients in the New Year.
