Progress Software has announced the addition of more than 100 new independent software vendors (ISVs) to its Application Service Provider ENablement (ASPEN) Programme.
Through these relationships, Progress expects to extend its growing position in the exploding ASP market and help migrate top vertical market applications in areas such as financial services, supply chain management and customer relationship management (CRM) to the ASP model.
"Progress`s ASPEN 2000 Programme now has over 150 partners worldwide, clearly representing the world`s largest network of ASPs and related strategic partners," says Rick Parry, MD of Progress South Africa. "We are the first vendor to bring ASP applications to more than 10 000 end-user seats."
Progress has long been recognised for its ability to give ISVs the technology and services they need to meet the needs of midmarket, resource-constrained environments. Progress`s focus on the ASP market means its more than 2 000 ISV partners worldwide and their more than 5 000 Progress-based applications are now targeted at this new distribution channel.
Progress`s more than 100 new ASPEN partners from around the globe represents a wide variety of market segments, from accounting and financial services to automotive.
