Progress Software South Africa is hosting its annual conference from Sunday, 20 July to Wednesday, 23 July at Protea Hotel Kruger Gate.
During the conference, users and partners will receive the latest information from Progress executives, technology experts and customers.
A number of tracks will run concurrently, and most sessions will be offered twice, allowing attendees to choose from different presentations that match their interests. The technical sessions will help users get the most from Progress products and emerging technologies, as well as outline new techniques and methods for solving problems.
This year for the first time there will be a separate two-day business track, where a variety of outside speakers will address critical business issues, relevant to both the local and international marketplace.
The various presentations offered will once again be rated by level of technical depth from beginner to very advanced.
Among the overseas speakers at the event will be Chris Clabaugh, vice-president of the ASPen Managed Services division of Progress. He directs the overall vision and forward-looking strategies that enable Allegrix and ASPen customers to take advantage of the business opportunities presented by the ASP model. In 1999 Clabaugh and Scott Chapman founded Allegrix, which was acquired by Progress in June 2001.

She is a regular speaker at the Progress User Conferences and Progress User Groups worldwide.
S'ebastien Haefel'e has been associated with Progress since 1995. He is product advocate reporting to product management, for Progress SQL-92 and PeerDirect. His duties involve assisting in the plans for future versions of these products based on feedback collected from users.
