ProScan Systems, premier value-added distributor for Datalogic in South Africa, has expanded its range of data automation products to include the Datalogic Quickscan range of handheld bar code scanners and the Magellan range of POS fixed mount scanners.
Datalogic Scanning, which recently acquired PSC USA, has now incorporated PSC`s complete line of high-performance retail POS scanners, general purpose and rugged handheld scanning products into the company`s product range.

There are three different product ranges in the Magellan series. The Magellan single-plane in-counter scanner`s small size, industry leading scanning performance is ideal for increasing performance in small-counter, retail checkout environments.
Magellan`s countertop omni-directional presentation scanners are designed for small counter retail checkout environments and combine high reliability and quality with an exceptional ability to scan hard-to-read bar codes, decreasing downtime, increasing productivity and first pass read rates.
The high performance bi-optic scanners are designed to speed up checkout, improve operational efficiency and increase security in a wide range of retail scanning applications. The patented All-Weighs scale platter uses an innovative design that greatly reduces shrink caused by inaccurate weighing at the checkout.
