ProScan received the prestigious 2002 EMEA Outstanding Partner Award for the "Highest Revenue for a New Partner" at the Intermec Global Partners Conference in Orlando, USA earlier this year.

ProScan was established in May 2002 as a value-added distributor of barcoding, collection equipment and mobile technologies for the , warehousing and distribution, transport and logistics, and manufacturing industries in southern Africa.

ProScan`s rapid expansion programme included the appointment as the premier value-added distributor for Intermec`s range of barcoding and mobile computing products.

Andrew Fosbrook, Managing Director of ProScan, comments on the award: "Our company was proud to receive the award, which not only reflects the success of our business , but shows that our products and technologies are in demand and are solving real business problems. In addition, it shows that the southern African market is buoyant and has strong potential growth for barcoding and mobile computing products.

"Several ProScan representatives attended the three day event and were among over 1 500 other resellers and distributors from all corners of the globe. We came away with an in-depth insight into Intermec`s marketing and product strategies, anticipated global trends for the forthcoming year, and of course product and application knowledge."
