The Duxbury Networking Training Academy in Johannesburg has announced a series of training courses, targeted at network technicians and engineers, covering wireless networking subjects.
The courses are geared towards the completion of formal certification exams, which must be written within a month of the completed training programme, says Duxbury Academy manager, Christelle Dirks.
The training will be held in association with Duxbury`s principal, Proxim, a leading vendor of WiFi products.
The following courses are scheduled:
* Proxim Certified WiFi Engineer (PCWE) Orinoco Access point and client devices.
* Proxim Certified Broadband Technician (PCBT) WAN Basics, Tsunami MP.11 and Quickbridge.
* Proxim Certified Broadband Engineer (PCBE) WAN Advanced, Lynx and Tsunami.
Additionally, Duxbury is running parallel education programmes for previously disadvantaged communities, including basic computer career orientation for scholars.
