PSG Online Solutions - a financial services subsidiary of the JSE-listed PSG Group Ltd - together with Fundamental Information Services (FIS) has released a new software product: Informer. "The Informer package, will give the private investor access to fundamental information usually only available to institutions" says director of PSG Online Solutions, Diedrich Schutte.
The most powerful additional function which Informer offers is a unique downloadable search function - which can easily be updated daily - to help investors select shares based on criteria such as PE, Return on Equity (ROE), margins, turnover and the like.
"The information provided is on par with that currently available to institutions, but the costs are much more affordable for the private investor," says Schutte.
Whereas PSG Online`s other downloadable software, the WEN range of products focuses largely on technical and charting tools based on share price and volume, the Informer package offers a detailed fundamental look at businesses listed on the JSE - including management, results and nature of business.
The first product of its kind in its price range, Informer includes a comprehensive electronic version of the JSE handbook, a complete five-year history of group results as well as detailed company profiles and director contacts.
"The new product fits into PSG Online`s strategy to empower the private investor through offering the most comprehensive online stockbroking facility, coupled with personal contact, education and training, traditional stockbroking facilities, as well as technical and fundamental tools" adds Schutte.
The Informer package will be made available through the WEN distribution channels, and marketed on the PSG Online website at www.psg-online.co.za to PSG`s large database of private investors.
