Purple Platypus releases 3D printer

Purple Platypus, a distributor of 3D printing systems, has released the BFB 3000 Panther, a fully assembled colour 3D printer, reports Earth Times.

The BFB 3000 Panther allows for rapid prototyping of equipment, printing models and parts from computer aided design files.

The printer is standalone and requires no computer connection, allowing models to be printed by using an SD card.

Epson unveils business inkjet printers

Epson has released the latest range of business inkjet printers in the Middle East, states AMEInfo.

The Epson B-310N and B-510DN are designed to deliver high-quality colour printing with a cost-per-page of up to 70% less than the average colour laser printer.

The printers feature a paper capacity of 650 sheets, and are equipped with high-yield ink tanks.

Partnership for print quality control

X-Rite, a colour management, measurement and communications technology company, has partnered with a colour management and proofing solutions company GMT to develop the X-Rite branded print quality control and standardisation solutions, says Market Watch.

The solution targets the graphic arts industry. It provides four wizard-driven solutions to allow print buyers and pressroom operators to follow a job from contract to delivery.

"Through our partnership with GMG, we are expanding the functionality of today's automated verification offerings to meet the industry's increasing need for process control and standardisation,” says Tom Vacchiano, X-Rite's CEO.
