Navision Software South Africa, a leading provider of enterprise business management software, has appointed Pyxis Technologies as a Navision Software Solution Centre (NSC) in Namibia.
Pyxis Technologies is not traditionally a development house, but decided to team up with a few selected IT companies in South Africa to offer proven and tested software solutions to the Namibian market. These solutions will be marketed, installed and maintained by Pyxis Technologies with the backing and support of their South African partners. One of these partners is Navision Software South Africa.
According to Herbert van Niekerk, a Pyxis Technologies account manager, "We chose to become an NSC because both the product and the company are well suited for our target market - medium-sized businesses. Navision Software`s structure is flexible, making it possible to adapt to any business while managing growth simultaneously." Navision Software is a unique financial software package and Van Niekerk believes that it has great potential in Namibia.
As an official NSC, Pyxis Technologies will introduce the Navision software to the Namibian market and endeavour to get the software approved by local audit companies. Once a successful Navision sale has been made, Pyxis Technologies will install, configure and support the software locally with the backing of Navision Software SA. "We believe Pyxis Technologies will be successful with Navision Software`s product due to professional and experienced in-house personnel," says Van Niekerk.
According to Navision Software SA managing director Keith Mullan, the drastic increase in NSC`s is due to the growing demand for the product. "More and more NSC`s like Pyxis Technologies are opting to sell our product because we have a reputation for being first-to-market with advanced technologies in enterprise business solutions and our goal is to achieve long-term viability by becoming the provider of the leading standard. We have experienced an excellent year in South Africa and the rest of Africa."
Pyxis Technologies` in-house skills and access to the Namibian market have also enabled them to develop a range of hardware and software building blocks that can be assembled to provide customised solutions.
Mullan adds: "The move to partner with Pyxis Technologies was important. The training and skills transfer will expand the skills base of available skilled Navision resources in Southern Africa. With our support I believe that Pyxis Technologies can grow their customer base worldwide, in line with the target that they have set for themselves."
