Optio Software, provider of document output management and forms automation solutions and distributed by the SPI Group in SA, has announced that QAD has added Optio e.ComIntegrate and DesignStudio to its worldwide Solution Centre, an information portal used by the global QAD sales force. QAD sales consultants will use these Optio products to demonstrate how customers and prospects can add value to MFG/PRO eB2 enterprise software.
"As a worldwide output management partner, Optio Software has proven its ability to seamlessly support QAD customers by improving their operations and easing the transition to current versions of MFG/PRO," said Mike Lodato, QAD's executive vice-president and chief marketing officer.
"But the real proof of Optio's value to us is that we use it to help manage our own operations in 25 countries and support multiple currencies, languages, regulatory and trade requirements in our mission-critical documents." This initiative deepens the existing alliance between Optio and QAD. To date, Optio is one of only two global third-party vendors and the only output management vendor represented in the QAD Solution Centre.
QAD uses Optio e.ComIntegrate and DesignStudio to enhance the form, content, distribution and availability of about 100 000 documents it annually produces, including sales orders, maintenance contracts, install base reports, customer statements and media release reports.
"We're pleased that QAD has chosen to strengthen our partnership by leveraging our products to help its customers get maximum value from their technology investment," said Paul O'Callaghan, Optio's senior vice-president of sales. "We look forward to continuing to serve the output management needs of the QAD community."
