The general availability of MFG/PRO eB2, QAD`s comprehensive, Web-enabled suite of enterprise applications for manufacturing, distribution and financial management has been announced. In response to a demand by global manufacturers to address specific needs, MFG/PRO eB2 incorporates more than two dozen important new areas of functionality, and includes more than 20 enhancements. MFG/PRO eB2 manufacturing, distribution and financial management enterprise applications are built on open, standards-based architecture to maximise interoperability with legacy systems and a variety of enterprise applications. Open Applications Group Integration Specification (OAGIS) messaging standards, Business Object Documents (BODs) and XML enable communication with other applications inside the organisation and outside, with suppliers and customers.
Its open, three-tiered architecture also makes MFG/PRO eB2 flexible and scalable, to accommodate operations of any size in both centralised and distributed environments. This new thin-client solution contributes to reduced cost of ownership by helping minimise application deployment and management, as well as required user training.
