QDD launches DynamiQue 1.0 with nationwide roadshow

Johannesburg, 06 Dec 2000

Q DynamiQue, the e-HR specialist in the PQ Africa Group, has launched DynamiQue 1.0, its all-new integrated HR solution, with a nationwide roadshow attended by more than 300 people. Initial response has been overwhelming, says Q Data DynamiQue managing executive David Botha, with the first advance orders being placed at each presentation in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.

Centred on Q Data DynamiQue`s three decades of experience in the payroll and related sectors, DynamiQue 1.0 is a completely new product suite, and the first to tie together all personnel-specific applications in one offering.

"DynamiQue 1.0 has been written from the ground up, and is a complete break with the past. It has been created to fulfil a number of requirements," says Botha. "Firstly, in feedback sessions this is what our clients have been telling us they want. Secondly, the landscape changes constantly, so we have aligned with such issues as Employment Equity, the Labour Relations Act and the Skills Development Act. Thirdly, there is a clear and distinct trend in the market for vendors to provide systems built using open technology. And finally, we can see quite clearly that this is an international trend, and if we don`t offer these facilities and functionality to our clients, an international competitor will."

In addition, adds Botha, there has been a significant shift in the overall HR role, process and value proposition. "HR has moved from reactive to proactive to predictive, in line with business . Yet companies have to provide increased service levels with the same number of or fewer staff.

Automation is part of the solution. And where 80% of HR work was centred on administrative tasks and 20% on transformation and strategic tasks, we must now invert the triangle. DynamiQue 1.0 supports all of these goals." DynamiQue 1.0 has been written from the ground up, using current technologies, as opposed to the legacy platforms on which Q Data DynamiQue`s former applications were based.

"DynamiQue 1.0 was created, from conception to development, as one integrated solution," says Botha, "with one set of employee records and no potential for duplication of data capture, no redundancy and concomitant reduced error."

DynamiQue 1.0 is modular in approach and fully integrated with users` desktop applications and is easily deployable, adds Botha, a key advantage to using the latest technology. It will be browser-based and ASP-enabled in future releases.

In its first release, DynamiQue 1.0 will comprises of the core module, a comprehensive toolset, full HR administration, total integration with the QPAC V3 payroll engine, all statutory reporting requirements for Employment Equity, and a realtime leave administration system.

DynamiQue 1.0 runs on Windows NT, with SQL Server as its underlying database.

"Apart from improved business processes, the sheer efficiency of DynamiQue 1.0 will lead to significant cost savings," adds Botha. "There need be no printing of reports, as HR staff are not only able to view the reports in a Wysywig format on screen, but are also able to dynamically e-mail them to the respective managers and employees."

DynamiQue 1.0 is in final beta testing and will be available in the first quarter of 2001.
