QlikTech (Nasdaq: QLIK), a leader in Business Discovery - user-driven business intelligence, has announced its CEO Lars Bj"ork will be a speaker at the e-G8 Forum, launched by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, this week in Paris.
The e-G8 forum organises multiple conferences and discussions, so that for the first time, voices of companies, thinkers and major players who build the Internet will be heard at the highest levels of world politics.
The e-G8 Forum is a platform of expression, in which all the major actors of the Internet will be able to debate, thereby enriching the discussions of the heads of state and government who will subsequently meet in Deauville to examine these issues. It aims to enlighten and to nourish the discussions of the heads of state and government of G8 nations with the vision of the Web actors regarding the Internet's importance and impact on society and the economy.
Prominent Internet leaders, including Mark Zuckerberg, Eric Schmidt and Jeffrey Bezos, will attend the forum, taking place in Paris on 24 and 25 May 2011. Topics discussed include the mobile Web revolution, the future of e-commerce, and the paradigm-shifting technologies that will create the Internet of tomorrow. Numerous workshop sessions will concentrate on start-ups; the Internet's impact on the press; sharing value; e-governance; and mobility.
