QlikView 9 available via cloud

Business intelligence (BI) firm QlikTech has unveiled QlikView 9, whichi can be delivered via the cloud, says vnunet.

QlikView 9 offers enhanced enterprise manageability, performance and scalability with an emphasis on real-time data, according to the firm.

The company was recognised by Gartner as the fastest-growing BI vendor, in a market dominated by large players such as Business Objects, SAS and Cognos.

SAS is offering a bundle of data migration tools for short-term projects, reports Intelligent Enterprise.

SAS Data Migration comprises the vendor's Data Integration Server, database access engines and data quality technologies from SAS' DataFlux subsidiary.

The database access technology is capable of migrating to and from 16 different systems, including IBM DB2, Oracle, MicrosoftSQL Server, Netezza, Neoview and others.

Hewlett-Packard has unveiled its HP Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) solutions, aimed at recession-beleaguered IT executives who need to cut costs, prepare for a service-based future, and run their departments like a business, states ZDNet.

FP&A is part of HP's expanding IT Financial Management (ITFM) portfolio designed to help chief information officers and IT managers create comprehensive financial transparency, optimise costs deeply but prudently, and newly demonstrate the business value of IT services.

In a related announcement, HP unveiled enhancements to its project and portfolio management solution for planning and organising IT investments.
