QlikView, the world's leading new generation business intelligence software, has been named Best Mid-market Software Solution at the annual Gartner Mid-size Enterprise Summit East, held last month in Atlanta.
More than 300 senior IT executives attending the event were eligible to vote in the awards, with QlikView winning out over 32 other products on show.
This was the latest in a series of industry recognitions for QlikView, the flagship product of Swedish company, QlikTech, which produces in-memory analysis and reporting software.
In May, QlikTech made the Red Herring 100 list of the most innovative privately-held companies. (Previous winners spotted by Red Herring's editors are the early eBay and Google.)
Also in May, QlikTech was selected as one of six "Fast Track" innovators during the annual Software 2007 event, for its demonstration of financial viability and market adoption with customers.
During April, the Sand Hill Group recognised QlikTech as one of the 25 most innovative players in the software industry, and in January, Gartner positioned QlikTech in the "visionaries" quadrant in its Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms.
Industry analyst IDC named QlikTech as the fastest-growing BI software company in the world for the third year in a row, in late 2006.

As well as being named Best Mid-market Software Solution, QlikTech was also nominated by attendees for 'Best Execution of a Software Solution'. At last year's summit, QlikTech was awarded 'Best Execution of a Mid-market IT Solution'.
