Qmuzik (www.qmuzik.com) and Enertech (www.enertech.co.za) have announced the signing of an agreement whereby Enertech will make use of the Qmuzik electricity solution to manage the distribution of electricity throughout the supply chain.
In looking for a solution to manage the bulk buying of electricity and on selling thereof to consumers either prepaid or postpaid on an outsourced basis required special functionality. Tampering detection and management thereof including disconnecting and reconnecting power remotely also had to be catered for.
The Qmuzik electricity solution was the only one that could satisfy all these requirements.
The Enertech meter is revolutionising the distribution of electricity to consumers through prepaid or postpaid electricity that incorporate features like remote meter reading and management, incorporating a phone, and numerous ways of detecting tampering. Being an intelligent meter, the functionality can be expanded to convey messages, give access to the Internet or even manage water supply.
The potential market in SA runs into billions of rand and interest has been shown from across the globe.
