QPR Software launches QPR WorkFlow to help organisations manage human-centric business processes

Johannesburg, 02 Oct 2007

The market for business process management (BPM) related solutions and services is growing rapidly. This is mainly due to the fact that companies are moving away from traditional functional organisation models to process-oriented ways of operating.

Companies are seeking sustainable competitive advantage through their new process-based approaches that take into consideration the key interfaces between humans and IT-systems.

According to Forrester Research, an independent technology and market research company, the market for BPM products will increase dramatically over the next four years and should reach about 6.3 billion US dollars by 2011.

Gartner, another leading research consultancy, predicts the same growth and market conditions to unfold over the next few years. Gartner also estimates that both private and public organisations will require more high-end solution providers to cater for their increased integration needs as BPM implementations become more complex.

QPR Software, a Helsinki-headquartered global software vendor, has steadily expanded its product portfolio towards a complete BPM suite. This new offering enables organisations to turn process management into a sustained competitive advantage.

"Successful organisations see their business processes as key strategic assets. However, managing these business processes is a real challenge for many, since the most critical component - the individual human - is also the one that is the most difficult to manage," says Matti Kanninen, CEO of QPR Software.

"QPR has an important and unique role in enabling organisations to manage, optimise and automate their human-centric business processes. We help organisations achieve their business goals by providing them with products and solutions with which they can become efficient and agile."

The launch of QPR WorkFlow today, a major new product release that is a key part of QPR BPM Suite, extends QPR Software's offering for those in need of BPM. QPR WorkFlow is a rapidly deployable, easy-to-use Web-based product for managing, optimising and automating human-centric business processes and workflows.

QPR WorkFlow integrates all the crucial elements of a business process, including IT systems, documents, databases and humans into one easily manageable, integrated package. With QPR WorkFlow organisations can decrease costs, while increasing output, quality and transparency.

"Modelling, documenting, improvement collaboration and communication of processes has always been the strength of QPR BPM solution! The integration of QPR ProcessGuide with QPR WorkFlow allows our customers to rapidly design and streamline processes and then automate streamlined processes, removing manual tasks normally performed by the workforce," says John Paul Kirton, MD of QPR Software, the South African local subsidiary of QPR Software.

Process management is a key component for successful business management.

Process management is a management methodology that emphasises speed, flexibility and agility. When moving to process management, workflows are optimised so that they produce maximum value. "To retain or increase their competitive advantage, organisations must continuously search for more cost-effective means with which to conduct their operations, while simultaneously meeting and exceeding client expectations," says Matti Kanninen. The appropriate use of specialised software applications, like QPR BPM Suite, enables new and innovative ways of running one's business.
