Questetra unveils SaaS edition of BPMS

Questetra introduced a service this month called the 'Questetra BPM Suite SaaS Edition' (in Japanese), says Reuters. The existing product is renamed 'Questetra BPM Suite Download Edition'.

The free workflow/BPM software Questetra BPM Suite Download Edition is a Web application that has been downloaded up to 6 000 times since its release in January. Currently, it is being used in BPM practices worldwide, and in Kyoto University's inquiry and contact process.

The company says the new SaaS edition will contribute to BPM activities of bodies such as businesses that promote cloud computing, departments with no restriction on software installation, and small organisations with around 20 members.

The Media Shoppe releases Joget

Enterprise knowledge portal solutions provider The Media Shoppe has released an open source workflow management system that automates paper-based processes, such as the routing of leave and expense claim forms, reports The Star Online.

Interested parties will get a free copy of the solution, called Joget Workflow, when they sign up for training in its use, conducted monthly at the Malaysian Institute of Management. Chris Chan, TMS CEO, says Joget Workflow will free up entrepreneurs from mundane paperwork.

Also, he says, those who are trained in Joget Workflow will be able to provide technical support to SMEs in the area of business process management.

IBM streamlines business processes

IBM has released an enterprise content management software which it claims can reduce the time it takes to execute business processes by up to 50%, helping to lower costs and make organisations more agile and efficient, writes CRN.

The IBM FileNet Business Process Manager bundle combines FileNet Process Monitor, FileNet Business Process Framework, FileNet Connector for Microsoft Visio, and IBM FileNet eForms.

The content-centric BPM system also includes IBM Cognos Now for real-time monitoring, according to the firm. IBM said the bundle could be used to streamline business processes, for example in healthcare by enabling hospitals to respond more quickly to patient needs, or in insurance by enabling the error-free and speedy processing of claims.
