Qwest helps schools through e-billing
Qwest Communications customers in Moffat County who switch to automatic and electronic billing can give back to public schools of their choice, says Craig Daily.
The company recently started a new programme for its automatic and electronic bill paying customers.
The initiative will donate an amount equivalent to 1% of the customer's monthly bills to a public school district of his or her choice.
Combat postal costs with e-billing
Large mailers are getting more serious about pruning bad addresses, signing up customers for online bill-paying and other measures to mitigate the effect of rising postal costs, says Crain's Detroit Business.
Rates for first-class mail, standard mail, periodicals, package services and special services are scheduled to increase on 12 May.
Eleven percent of the 2.8 million MichCon-Detroit Edison customers who get a bill from the company each month have signed up for electronic billing, eliminating their paper bills entirely.
