Datacentrix recently scooped two of HP SA`s prestigious reseller awards, being named as top local HP reseller and winning the biggest server deal in SA category.
According to Darryl Brick, GM: channels, partners and alliances at HP SA, the company`s selection of Datacentrix as top reseller for 2001 was indisputable, due to a number of contributing factors. "Datacentrix has shown continued success in the sales and services arena, as well as proficient credit management.
"The company has also shown a high level of interaction with HP at all levels, and strong sales engagement in both our products and services categories. These details, coupled with Datacentrix`s loyalty and integrity, make them a definite winner by HP`s standards," he says.
Brick explains that the HP/Datacentrix alliance has spanned more than a decade. "Since HP`s re-entry into the South African market three years ago, our relationship has gone from strength to strength. Datacentrix is our largest reseller partner in terms of sales revenue and we are jointly building new business models which will provide both companies with increased revenue opportunities."
Says Gerhard Gouws, divisional director at Datacentrix: "Datacentrix managed to meet all of the stringent criteria set by HP to be awarded the accolade of top dealer. In the server deal category, Datacentrix prevailed with our project win, which saw us implement 128 file servers in a R25 million deal," he explains.
"I believe that these awards highlight the strong alliance Datacentrix has with HP and predicts a great partnership moving into the future," says Gouws.
