A flexible managed hosting service designed to meet the growing demand for short-term, campaign-based Web sites has been launched internationally by Rackspace Managed Hosting.
The service is primarily targeted at marketing and advertising agencies, where the use of temporary, campaign-specific Web sites has been pioneered.
Called 'On Demand Hosting' it provides agencies with the flexibility to expand their projects and accommodate unexpected peaks in Web site traffic.

Ray Jones, head of communications at The Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK, believes the observable steady increase in the popularity of temporary Web sites is a natural development in the way the Internet is being used.
