Phoenix International, a local freight forwarding and clearing company, was looking for an all-encompassing solution to store and record all activities, streamline its workflow and corporate governance and draw extensive reports around its shipping activities. It selected Radical from Solutional to fulfil these requirements.
Radical is locally developed Proudly South African software that addresses all market requirements for call centre, CRM and help-desk software. In addition, it has an advanced forms editor, forms designer and business rule/workflow processor that enables the purchaser to create entirely new applications in Radical, thus positioning Radical as a business intelligence tool, alongside the vertical market packages with which it ships.
Some of the types of packages that Solutional`s clients have created with Radical include asset management, expense management, sales tracking and order tracking systems. Most of Solutional`s clients have implemented Radical as a true customer relationship management solution, with Radical becoming the desktop application creating a single point of access for the entire company`s dealings with each customer, including integration with the accounting software.
Phoenix International is a relatively new Radical implementation and an exciting project for Solutional to undertake.
"What was specifically important to Phoenix was to find a system that was customisable and flexible, so that once the solution was in place it could still be customised by Phoenix going forward, as one`s operating environment is an ever-changing one," says Graham Leach, Operations Manager at Phoenix International.
"We looked at other products developed specifically for our industry, but they were not all-encompassing solutions, mainly strong in only one or other aspect of the business. Radical, apart from its customisability, is also locally developed so we could be sure of excellent support at all times," Leach adds.
"Solutional have been outstanding at grasping the workings of an industry to which they have not been previously exposed and have successfully integrated Radical with our MS Office back office software."

Once we have developed a custom solution for a company in any given vertical, we find that this has had a steamrolling effect with regards to other opportunities for Solutional in that specific vertical market.
