RailCorp sets IT on track

NSW government rail infrastructure department RailCorp is calling for resources to assist with the development and implementation of an enterprise ICT solution for its $3.6 billion "Rollingstock" public-private partnership (PPP) to replace 500 ageing train carriages, reports ComputerWorld.

The new solution will consist of an integrated contract management system and fleet management system.

RailCorp anticipates the new solution will serve as a risk mitigation strategy for the overall contract management of the Rollingstock project, and enable it to meet its commercial and fleet management obligations for information sharing

Data Fundi holds ICT exhibition

Data Fundi, an ICT firm, is to mark five years by holding an exhibition that will include global companies, reports TradingMarkets.

Data Fundi is among the few companies in Uganda that are engaged in the installation of the country's national ICT backbone.

NokiaSiemens, Shyam Telecom, Emperion A/S, Ultratec and Duraline PVT have confirmed their participation in the exhibition. It will be Uganda's first ICT exhibition this year.

Benz, Extol partner

Benz International has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Extol MSC Berhad, from Malaysia, according to PR-Inside.

The MOU will see the companies establish a joint security operations centre (SOC) in Dubai that will cater to the Middle East market.

The SOC enables Benz International, the managed security services providers, to be a powerful tool to provide constant surveillance and monitoring services to Benz's enterprise clients in the Middle East.
