The new combined 2in1 PC and iKey security solution benefits users in networked environments that require a powerful measure of secure access control to business-critical data and applications. The combination of a secure switch between internal and external networks and iKey`s strong authentication functions create a solution for hardware security and continuous password verification which supports important procedures, restricts network access, and provides strong authentication and authorization, while maintaining flexibility and portability.

Rainbow`s iKey
Rainbow`s iKey workstation security solution is a compact electronic key that is compatible with smart cards and can be installed directly into a laptop or desktop`s existing serial bus (USB) port, providing flexibility and portability. The iKey 1000 supports business-to-business and business-to-consumer applications, as well as Microsoft`s Smart Card Architecture for an extended measure of security.
Designed for secured remote authentication and authorization, the iKey supports both one-time challenge/response systems and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) functions, including the storage of digital certificates and digital signature performance. Additionally, Rainbow`s iKey Software Development Kit (SDK) allows users to develop custom solutions for in-house PKI applications compatible with Windows 2000 environments.
Voltaire`s 2in1 PC
The 2in1 PC offers on-line connectivity with foolproof data security through a PC card that divides the desktop computer into two physically separate workstations, controlling all communication to and from the hard disk as well as from the computer to external networks.
The 2in1 PC desktop becomes immune to infiltration from outside hackers and saboteurs within by dividing the workstation into two separate entities, each with its own OS and access rights. The secure workstation consists of a closed loop that acts as an internal LAN. The separate public workstation enables users to connect to the Internet. The switching between each side clears all vulnerable data from the active workstation.
