RBS selects SeeWhy
Retail Business Solutions (RBS) has deployed SeeWhy to power its new real-time software as a service (SaaS) fraud analytic system, according to Business Wire.
The system has been fully integrated with the Retail-J EPOS platform and is the first real-time SaaS offering for loss prevention in the retail market.
A major high street fashion retailer is the first customer to sign up for the service and is using the service live across the UK, with a roll out to the US planned in the near future.
Profitsystems appoints VP
Retail technology vendor Profitsystems has promoted Shelley Parlin to VP of professional services, states Furniture Today.
Parlin joined the company in January as director of professional services. Previously, she was on the management team for retailer Parlin`s Furniture in Battle Creek, which has used Profitsystems products and services since 1993.
"As a former client over the past decade, Shelley`s intimate knowledge of the benefits we deliver to retailers allowed her to hit the ground running," said company president Jeff Niskern.
Grocers get compliant
The increasing pressure from card networks, processors and financial institutions has made PCI compliance a priority for independent and regional grocery chains, says Ad-Hoc-News.
However, the difficulty and cost to achieve compliance and the annual expense of maintaining it is proving beyond the reach of many grocers.
The only practical answer is to remove all card data from the store, and that`s precisely what combining the PCI-Isolated ISS45 and ScanMaster versions, with Connected Payments, has accomplished.
