In October 2016, Rittal was honoured with two awards by readers of popular German IT publications. The CMC III monitoring and alert system secured first place in the Data Centre Monitoring and Management category in funkschau's Readers' Choice Awards. Rittal also received the Vogel Business Media Readers' Choice Award 2016 for Enclosures and Cooling Systems.
Rittal's Computer Multi Control (CMC) III is the most popular product for data centre monitoring and management according to the readers of funkschau, a German specialist IT publication. Second and third place went to Paessler and Schneider. Other nominees in this category included Emerson Network Power and Consistec.
funkschau's chosen winner: CMC III for efficient monitoring
"We are honoured to receive this Reader's Choice Award. It shows that we understand our customers' imperatives, and have successfully fulfilled them," stated Sven Lauroesch, IT Product Management at Rittal.
Companies are increasingly dependent on automated IT security mechanisms due to growing time and cost pressures. Monitoring of components via the network and automated security processes are particularly attractive to user organisations as they offer significant potential cost-savings. The modular CMC III system is ideal for monitoring IT environments and aids companies in establishing an efficient and secure IT infrastructure. The product line comprises a variety of sensors - for example, for humidity, temperature, door status checks, automatic door opening, differential pressure, shocks and vibrations, and vandalism.
This was the eighth funkschau Readers' Choice Awards, and a total of 5 500 ICT decision-makers and business users voted for their favourite products in 20 categories. Microsoft, Samsung and Deutsche Telekom were among the winners acknowledged alongside Rittal at the Readers' Awards ceremony on 13 October, at the Seehaus restaurant in the English Garden in Munich, Germany.
Platinum at the Readers' Choice Award 2016
For the second consecutive year Rittal has been recognised for its achievements with a platinum Readers' Choice Award from Vogel Business Media. On this occasion the company received the accolade in the Enclosures and Cooling Systems category, a proven Rittal core competency. In 2015, they won the award in the Racks and Containers category.
Dietrich Malzacher, Head of IT Projects at Rittal, again took the stage to accept the platinum award. "The recognition received in the 2015 and 2016 IT awards underline that our solutions are among the most successful products in the IT industry. This is a vote of confidence from our customers, thank you very much."
Readers of Vogel Business Media's six IT industry portals were called upon to cast their votes. Over 34 000 IT experts participated this year. Prizes for the 42 categories were presented at an evening gala event in the Steigenberger Hotel Drei Mohren on October 20, 2016 in Augsburg, Germany.
