Real Business launches 'SME club` online

Business Day`s small business supplement Real Business has launched a Web site to give small business owners the opportunity to become part of its for small to medium enterprises (SMEs)

Real Business editor Colin Anthony says the Web site allows small business owners to register with the Real Business Network, which was launched by Business Day, Standard , the IDC, Microsoft and MTN last month.

Anthony says the site aims to provide resources as well as enable between small business owners.

"The Web site offers information, advice and education for members on how to run their business and also provides them with the opportunity to list their company details to look for new partners, suppliers, customers and contacts. An online forum will also facilitate discussion between small business owners," he says.

The annual fee is R300 but membership is free to all customers of Business Day, Standard Bank, the IDC, Microsoft and MTN.

Anthony says the network will also host networking sessions and seminars for members.

"Networking sessions and seminars will enable members to explore business opportunities with other entrepreneurs and discuss pressing issues to aid SME owners in the running of their business."
