Rectron, one of the fastest growing distribution companies in South Africa, has been awarded the distributorship for the complete range of Canon Products.
The Canon range includes market leading printers, scanners, faxes, multifunctionals, digital cameras, personal copiers printing, scanning and multifunctional products.
According to Robert Havik, marketing manager for Canon SA, this brings to four the number of distributors that the company has engaged to make its products available to South African dealers and resellers.
Havik says Rectron has been appointed to broaden Canon SA`s distribution base, to target areas of the dealer market previously not addressed, and thereby increasing sales. "Rectron was selected on the basis of its being a listed company with an excellent reputation in the channel. Its broad distribution base and strong relationships with many smaller dealers and resellers makes it an ideal partner for Canon SA.
"Canon SA will be supplying full product support to Rectron sales staff. We anticipate escalating sales of our wide range of products through this new arrangement," Havik adds.
According to Alan Michas, Rectron`s IT manager. "We are pleased to add Canon to our list of blue-chip principals. Rectron aims to market only quality products; Canon has an excellent name and worldwide there is a big demand for its products.
"The Canon product range will complement a number of Rectron offerings targeted at the SMME, SoHo and home consumer markets.
"We foresee a bright future for Canon under the Rectron umbrella and a growth in sales of Canon`s products through our vast distribution channel. We have comprehensive and superior after sales support through our channel partners - 5000 dealers countrywide.
