In a move that furthers Toshiba`s drive into the South African mobile and wireless marketplace, the company has appointed Rectron as the distributor for its range of projectors that include wireless LAN-enabled and other mobile offerings.
"We have been dealing with Rectron for years and have seen some good results," comments Henrik Ask, product manager: professional visual products at Toshiba EMEA.
"In addition, they already distribute other Toshiba products, which makes the projector range a perfect fit as Rectron can now offer a complete presentation package to South African users."
According to Toshiba, SA has experienced a 25% growth in projectors the last year, emphasising the viability of promoting solutions to such a booming market.
Comments Andr'e Rossouw, Toshiba product manager at Rectron: "This announcement is indeed significant as it empowers us to offer solutions that enable companies to take advantage of the emerging mobile space."
Adds Ask: "It is important for us to partner with distributors such as Rectron that not only shift units -but offer complete solutions and services - providing that added value to our customers.
Weighing approximately 1.1kg, Toshiba`s TDP-P5, for example, is the size of an A5 sheet of paper and offers mobility and comfort to executives and other workers that are running from one presentation to another.
Additionally, Toshiba also offers a complete wireless LAN product set, enabling wireless connectivity in any office environment.
"Toshiba`s projector range also features home offerings for big screen viewing - taking home entertainment that one step further," comments Rossouw.
Toshiba`s projector range is available immediately from Rectron.
