Rectron, one of SA`s leading computer and peripheral products distributors, has relocated to new premises in Midrand, north of Johannesburg, in a move that firmly establishes the growing organisation at the forefront of the distribution arena in SA.
The R60 million complex represents a 300% increase in warehousing and office space over the company`s previous building, while new state-of-the-art computer assembly line management and monitoring systems have been installed.
According to Rectron CEO, Mark Lu, the move to the new a complex - located at 1 New Road Midrand - represents a major milestone in Rectron`s history.
"We have been able to streamline our operation and plan for increased efficiencies - particularly in the areas of distribution logistics, technical support and training - which will make it easier for our customers to deal with Rectron," he says.
"More than simply enlarging the size of our operation, Rectron has invested heavily in the systems and infrastructure necessary to take us to the next level from an operational perspective.
"For example, the building features a wireless network, there is a modern training centre for the exclusive use of our customers, and there are all the requirements in place for significantly improved service from our technical teams which will translate into faster turn around times and deliveries on warranty claims," he says.
