Confirming HP`s growing strength in the colour laser printing arena, the company has introduced two new printers, the LaserJet 2550 series and LaserJet 4650 series that both feature a number of new enhancements and functionalities.
Branded as HP`s most affordable colour laser printers, the 2550 series, which replaces the 2500 series, delivers high-performance of up to 19ppm in black and 4ppm in colour, while offering sharing with various operating systems (OSs) thanks to the HP PCL 6 and HP Postscript level 3 Emulation bundled functionalities.
Replacing the 4600 series, HP`s colour LaserJet 4650 series is designed for workgroups of up to 20 users and offers a myriad features that allow for intensive printing. For example, a 533MHz processor and up to 544MB for memory let users print more complex documents effortlessly.
Both printers also feature HP`s Imageret, a proprietary printing technology system and chemically-grown toner which offer smooth colour transitions, crisp text and sharp images. And for projects that can`t wait, the HP Smart printing technology lets you continue printing a limited number of pages with the black cartridge when any colour cartridge runs out.
"HP has gone all out with these new additions to its colour laser printing series. We believe that both the LaserJet 2550 and 4650 are valuable and enhanced replacements of their predecessors," comments Zandr'e Rudolph, HP product manager at Rectron.
Additionally, the LaserJet 4650 is compatible with the JP Jetdirect 620n Fast Ethernet print server or wireless printing.
